The third record from the new 415 Records featured The Impostors. Drummer Johnny Campbell says that the band had gotten together in 1977, with Dana Doss on guitar and John Schuster on bass. "We wanted to start a band that played really hard-driving, honest, bare-bones rock and roll." Their musical style lined up neatly with the emerging punk scene. "When I heard The Ramones -- and then later on, the Sex Pistols --right away I was like, 'This is what I [want],'" Campbell says.
Disturbing the Peace's chapter on The Impostors is based upon interviews with Johnny Campbell, plus insights and memories from 415 Records co-founder Chris Knab.
