Hayward, California power pop group Times 5 came on like kids in a candy store. In fact, the four-piece group was managed by the owner of a confectionery. City Sweets owner David Peterson had absolutely no prior experience managing talent, but he successfully applied his business savvy and enthusiasm to the careers of the musicians of Times 5. The group lasted little more than twelve months, but their brief time together yielded recordings of three songs, including one extra-special cut: "Is Your Radio-active," 96 seconds of era-defining musical energy.

Disturbing the Peace's chapter on Times 5 is based upon interviews with David Wallace, David Nelson, David Peterson and Rick Clare.
